The OSI archetypal is hierarchical, and the aforementioned allowances and advantages can administer to any layered
model. The primary purpose of all such models, abnormally the OSI model, is to acquiesce different
vendors’ networks to interoperate.

Advantages of application the OSI layered archetypal include, but are not bound to, the following:
- It divides the arrangement advice action into abate and simpler components, thus
aiding basic development, design, and troubleshooting.
- It allows multiple-vendor development through acclimation of arrangement components.

the model.
