The straight-through cable is acclimated to connect
- Host to about-face or hub
- Router to about-face or hub
Four affairs are acclimated in straight-through cable to affix Ethernet devices. It is almost simple
to actualize this type; Figure 1.22 shows the four affairs acclimated in a straight-through Ethernet cable.
Notice that alone pins 1, 2, 3, and 6 are used. Just affix 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3, and 6 to 6 and
you’ll be up and networking in no time. However, bethink that this would be an Ethernet-only
cable and wouldn’t assignment with voice, Token Ring, ISDN, and so on.
